Born into a theater family, Rebecca Hart made her first stage appearance at the age of nine months and hasn't looked back. When not acting in Off Broadway and regional stages, the New York based Hart is selling out rooms like Joe's Pub, BAMCafe, and the Rockwood with her 'funk-laced folkrock' band Rebecca Hart & the Sexy Children.
The Sexy Children features the top tier of New York’s musicians on bass, guitar and drums. They are composed of Ms. Hart (Guitar, Vocals) Dan Barman (Drums), Matt Epstein(Bass) and Dave Lott(Guitar). The quartet released "Live at Joe's Pub" in summer 09, an album recorded at their sold-out breakout show of February 15th, 2009.
Rebecca Hart is recording a 2010 release with Hip Folk Records! Stay tuned for all the deets!
