Hailing from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Fortune Family, the hard-hitting trio made up of Reefer, Hobson and Kane drops tracks fit for parties and protests. They pride themselves on being able to fuse different genres, whether indie rock or '70s jazz, into contemporary hip hop. Their most recent mixtape, D.R.S. made way in the college blogosphere, gaining the Fam enough hype to open up for Wale in late August at the LxM Pro Tour.
